“I WRITE THE WAY I TALK”
“I write the
way I talk,”
he bragged.
“It’s better,”
I said, “to
talk the way
you write,
but only if
you write.
And you don’t
write, you
just talk
about writing.”
“Exactly,”
he said.
“I talk the
way I write.”
“So,” I asked,
“you write
about talking?”
“Yes,” he said.
“I am a C-E-O.”
“O-I-C,”
I replied.
“You’re a talker.
Not a writer.”
“Exactly,”
he said.
“I write the
way I talk.”
“Good for you,
I said,” I said.
“Huh?”
“I talk
the way
I write.”
“Oh, I get it.”
“No, you don’t.”
“Oh, no?”
“No.”
